Story Cube

In collaboration with Carl Koepcke, Nan Zhao, Jaturont Jamigranont, and Nick Hornig.

We worked on this project for the Tangible Interfaces class and it was inspired by Pol Pla‘s Display Blocks.

You can tell a story to the Story Cube and it will display relevant images on its displays. If you flip the cube you can continue with your story and a new image will appear. The cube remembers the story path, you can go back and change the path of the story. For the prototype we used a projector and a paper-cube. Each side had an AR marker. This allowed to display different images on each side corrected in perspective.
